WEDA 30/TAMU 41 UPDATE

Preparations for the San Juan dredging conference are progressing nicely. To date the following booths have been taken, 20, 21, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, and 50.

The Cut off date for hotel registrations is April 19, however we have a clause in our contract that requires the hotel to honor our agreed upon room rate until ALL THE ROOMS IN THE HOTEL ARE SOLD. If you are told when making room reservations that are room block is filled and offered a room at a higher rate direct their attention to Reservation Cut Off Date paragraph on page 3 of the WEDA Contract which states: At the cutoff date, hotel will release the unreserved rooms for general sale, however any reservations or substitution received after the cut off date will be honored AT THE GROUP RATE until all available rooms in the hotel are sold. If that doesn’t work call us. If you have already paid a higher rate please let us know. We can get it reduced.

The Conference Program is being tweaked as we speak and should be ready for publication soon.

The Golf tournament has not yet been finalized as we have had only two people register for it. All those planning to play should let us know their intentions this week so we can sign a contract and order the Golf Balls. And please let us know if you are interested in the post Conference tour that was published earlier.

In addition to the technical program, breakfast is included in your hotel room rate; there will be a hosted icebreaker on Sunday evening, and a Conference dinner on Tuesday
