Why he want to keep in place the Democrats' 27 year pledge to deny us oil independence is troublesome.
His claim that it will not lower gas prices, this year, next year or five years from now, is not only wrong, it shows his lack of experience. For the Congress of he United States to announce that we are starting on the Road to Oil Independence would dramatically lower world wide oil price immediately. It would tell our oil producing enemies who are, have and will continue to do us harm that "WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE".
Clinton used the same excuse that Obama is using when he vetoed the bill authorizing the drilling of oil in Alaska 10 years ago. Had he not done so we would be well on our way to total independence today.
Maybe Barrack Hussein Obama will tell us when he thinks we should start drilling, Extracting Oil from shale and sand, building Nuclear Plants and stop driving up food prices.
When you vote, remember that oil was $1.60 a gallon when the democrats took control of congress a few years ago.
