What a bunch of dishonest politicians we have. To say that I am disgusted with most of them is a gross understatement. Speaking out of both sides of their mouths those who are duty bound to represent us have not been truthful in response to my question, “ The Question is:
"Why are they continuing to spend our hard earned tax dollars on ‘Light Rail the Gravy Train” before we vote on whether or not we will approve a tax measure to increase taxes to operate and maintain “Light Rail the Gravy Train".
The answer is simple they never intended for us to vote on an “operation and maintenance tax increase”. Those dishonest rascals have buried the Operation and Maintenance Tax Increase in the “2011 C-Tran 20 Year Operations Levy”.
Ir is Buried in the first paragraph under Financial Plan on page 4 of this 5-page rip-off document. it reads as following:

Over the twenty years of C-TRAN’s Draft Preferred Alternative, it is assumed the agency will need to raise revenue equivalent to an additional 0.5% sales tax increase. Nearly half, or 0.2%, will be dedicated to anticipated growth of C-TRAN’s paratransit service, CVAN. Roughly 0.2% sales tax will be dedicated to fixed route bus service improvements and the remaining 0.1% sales tax will be dedicated to the introduction of high capacity transit in Clark County, including both Columbia River Crossing (CRC) light rail operating costs and the capital and operating costs for the Fourth Plain Bus Rapid Transit project. We cannot let these rascal get away with this unconscionable, disgusting, dirty trick to bury in the C-Tran 20 year plan the Light Rail Operations and Maintenance levy so they can without our knowledge ram down our throats a light rail system we neither need nor want. If the Dirty tricks folks give us no other choice, we need to start now, a campaign to defeat the C-Tran 20 Year Transit Development Plan. We need to demand as promised, a separate vote, (in August 2010) on the Operation and Maintenance of Light Rail the Gravy Train.
Besides, How in the hell can C-Tran even think about managing a Light rail system when we still have to this day, Bus Riders waiting for a bus, in cold, freesing Pacific Northwest pouring Rain. Their only shelter is a single bus stop sign. The politicians need to get the hell out of their plush offices and try it.
