Below is some information from and article by John
Fund, Wall Street Journal Columnist that appears in a News Max Magazine. You may want to explore what an Obama Presidency would bring us.

L. M. Patella
CDR USN (ret)

Read ON:

How destructive to the U.S. economy would a Barack Hussein Obama presidency be?

An indepth analysis warns: There could be a very rough time ahead.

Beneath Obama's flowery rhetoric lies a dangerous economic plan that will wreak havoc on the American economy.

From all indications Obama plans to return to the failed policies of high taxation coupled with an expansion of government spending.

Worse, Obama says he is absolutely committed to almost doubling the capital gains rate — something he will easily accomplish if he has a Democrat Congress.

In the coming months — when investors realize that Obama will raise the cap gains rate — there could be a stampede of asset sales as investors rush to take their profits now to avoid Obama's doubling of the tax rates next year.

All of these issues and more are explored in Newsmax magazine's special report "Obamanomics — the Coming Tax-and-Spend Nightmare," by Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund.

Indeed, Obama makes no bones about his plans to go on a tax rampage. Not only would he increase the capital-gains tax rate from 15 percent to as much as 28 percent, he wants to allow the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts to expire in 2010, which effectively raises taxes on Americans by tens of billions of dollars.

He also wants to do away with the $102,000 FICA payroll tax cap, which means anyone making over $102,000 would pay an additional 7 percent in taxes on earned income.

If you are concerned about your family's financial well-being — and that the American economy remains strong — you cannot and should not vote for Barack Hussein Obama and other left leaning democrats.

What a crock. Jeff Mize’s Column “Vancouver, La Center Rip Casino Study” says that both Vancouver and La Center are a couple of Money Grubbers.

It is apparent to even the most casual observer that both Vancouver and La Center city governments are now convinced that the Cowlitz Casino will soon become a reality and they are now positioning themselves to see how much of the Casino Profits can they Rip Off.

La Center’s comment that 3 million dollars in compensation from the Cowlitz tribe every year for ten years is not enough says volumes about where their interest are. They now want compensation in the amount of 3 million or more every year for the life of the Casino Project.

The actions of local governments raise several Questions,

1. Why isn’t the Subsidized Hilton Hotel built with and paid for with taxpayer dollars compensating the privately owned hotels that the city of Vancouver and , the Hilton, are now competing with?

2. Having owned and operated a grocery store for four years in Vancouver, why wasn’t I Compensated when supermarkets took away some of my business?

3. Why are publicly owned fitness centers allowed to drive privately owned fitness centers out of business without compensating them?

4. And certainly, the Vancouver and Clark County governments building, subsidizing, and operating financially failing convention Centers and amphitheaters with taxpayer dollars are concerned, not about the traffic, congestion or impact on schools the casino will have, they are concerned about the competition the Cowlitz Casino will bring to their failed taxpayer paid visions..

Good Morning,

Here is another reason to vote the tax and spend Democrats out of office, Read on and Please forward.

And don't forget Clinton, when president, vetoed a republican passed bill to drill in the ANWR. Had he not done so we would be closer to oil independence today. And today the Demo's are still singing the same old song, saying it makes no sense to start drilling now it would take 10 years to see any results.

86% of House Democrats have historically voted against increasing the
Vote for Debbie Peterson

Below is an Email from Debbie Peterson. Debbie Peterson when elected will return some degree of sanity to our legislature. Her knowledge of the issues and ability to expose the tax and spend crowd is head and shoulders over her opponents. Debbie is a breath of fresh air who will not, when elected, dictate to us. We will instead have some one to represent us. Won't that be a welcome change.

She needs and deserves your vote. Debbie is a Candidate for the House of Representatives, 49th District, Pos. 1
Dear Friends and Supporters,

Please find below, a link to the Columbian. It is an article re: the Columbia River Crossing and the proposed bridge.

Patty Murray has confirmed what we knew 1 year and $15M ago.
What others are saying about Debbie.

Joan Heimbigner, Vancouver: While working for the Vancouver Housing Authority as a financial specialist, Debbie Peterson was given the opportunity to help reverse trends in the Hough and Rosemere neighborhoods from rental properties back to single-family dwellings. Administering loan programs allowed her to successfully keep the low-income and elderly in their homes, while substantially improving both neighborhoods. Peterson has a solid foundation and impressive résumé and is compassionate about helping people in her state.

Mr. Patella:

Just thinking about the email I wrote to Mr. Carrol, I should make it clear, the subject was Tim Leavitt and his response to Mr. Carrol's inquiry.

In the last few months, as Pat Campbell has gotten more experience and realized the consequences of conversations at the Council, Mr. Campbell has, on several occasions, indicated that Council members need to be allowed to use judgment on issues, not just follow the majority of Council, including on the CTran Board.
I have appreciated his speaking out on the issue in the last couple of months.
Just want to give credit where it is due.

Below is a message from your local republican party.

Please help us vote the tax and spend rascals (Dems) out of office.

L. M. Patella

Dear Republican Voters:

By now you have all received your ballots for the August 19 primary election. This is a critical election as key contributors, PACs, media, lobbyists, etc. will all be using the primary results as a barometer for who they will get behind in the General Election. WE MUST WIN IN NOVEMBER!

Our path to a November victory begins with the August 19th election. Now is the time to complete your ballot and mail it in. There is so much you can do between now and Election Day. I am asking you to devote at least one hour on the phone this weekend to call every conservative you know and ask them to complete their primary ballot and mail it in now. Ask them to ask their conservative friends to do the same.

Strong voter turnout and our get-out-the-vote efforts are key to our success on August 19, and for the November 4 General Election. Our candidates need a strong turnout and the momentum of high GOP percentages in the August 19 primary to propel us to victory in November. Please do as much as you can this weekend. Your party and candidates are counting on your support. See below for the The Clark County Republican Party Nominations/Endorsements and Recommendations.

Our list of candidates is available on our website: www.clarkcountygop.org

Thank you,
Ryan Hart
Chairman, Clark County Republican Party

We Deserve to Represented Not Dictated To. Don't we ?

For more years than I care to remember, I have repeatedly said to our elected representatives, at all level, “we deserve to be represented not dictated to”. It is also my opinion, that those elected representatives have a duty, responsibility, and obligation, once they are elected, to represent their constituents. When doing so, they too should not be dictated to.

Nor should they be chastised or threatened because they chose to disagree with what other believe is the accepted wisdom. In carrying out their duties they must, if we are to preserve our representative democracy, have the same freedom as those they represent. Justice Clarence Thomas spoke for all of us when he said:

“In my humble opinion, those who come to engage in debates of consequence, and who challenge accepted wisdom, should expect to be treated badly. Nonetheless, they must stand undaunted. That is required. And, that should be expected. For, it is bravery that is required to secure freedom”.

Having received permission to broadcast the below emails. I am doing so, because we have in our midst, a Vancouver City Council member, was treated badly because she is undaunted and un-afraid to represent those who elected her.

Not only should we applaud her courage, wisdom and commitment to the sacred duties and responsibilities to her, we should let it be known, and make others aware that dictatorial leadership has no place anywhere in our city, state or country. The emails below speak for themselves. Read on,
Mr. Carroll:

Thank you for including me in your cc list. It is helpful to know what communication is taking place regarding the issue of the C Tran Board of Directors.

On several occasions over the last five or six months, Mayor Pollard has indicated that I would be required to take the views of the majority vote of the Council to the C Tran Board on the Columbia River Crossing issue, whether I agree with the views of the majority of the Council or not. These comments were on the record, during regular Council meeting or during the workshops. When this topic arose earlier this year, the Mayor restated his intent to remove me from the C Tran Board, unless I supported the majority Council view regarding the decisions on the Columbia River Crossing. During one meeting, on the record, the Mayor indicated his intent and then asked if anyone on the Council disagreed with his position, and indicated that if any Council member disagreed they should speak up and so indicate. No member spoke up in opposition to the Mayor's intent.
I do not recall if Council Member Leavitt was at that meeting.

My only difference with what appears to be the Council consensus, is that I am seriously questioning the viability, cost effectiveness, and transit effectiveness, and impact on businesses and negative affects on neighborhoods, of the light rail portion.

Yes, you may send it along. I had actually drafted the email shortly after Mr. Carrol had followed up, but put the email in "send later" because of the volatility of the situation and some outrage by the community members. Mr. Carrol's questions and desire to hold elected officials responsible for actions and inaction, is exactly where we need to be.
