PROJECT MANAGER - CONTAMINATED SEDIMENTS
LimnoTech (LTI) is the industry leader in developing and applying the latest advances in environmental science and computer simulation to more effectively solve client problems - in environmental assessment, management, remediation, and regulatory compliance - and better protect the water environment. We have a current need for a Project Manager to focus on Contaminated Sediments working out of our Ann Arbor, MI or Washington, D.C. offices.
Primary responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Manage clients (including industrial clients, engineering firms, attorneys, regulatory agencies) and staff while working on projects in the contaminated sediments area, including site characterization, remedial investigation, numerical modeling, and remedy evaluation and design
- Assist in growing LimnoTech's services for management of contaminated sediment sites, building on and expanding our client base in the industrial, regulatory, and municipal arenas
- Provide technical expertise in the arena of contaminated sediments through activities such as presenting at regional and national conferences, publishing papers, and serving on state, regional, or national committees
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Strong values in line with LimnoTech's culture
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- At least five years of demonstrated project management experience and the ability to manage people, multiple tasks, and objectives
- Demonstrated knowledge of the contaminated sediments technical area, the body of sediment regulations, and the role of site characterization, monitoring and modeling in support of contaminated sediments remedy design and decision-making
- Demonstrated, successful consulting work experience in related project areas
- Willingness to travel as needed, mainly within the U.S.
- Advanced degree(s) in relevant science or engineering program

Loup River Public Power District located in Columbus, Nebraska operates a
dredging operation at Genoa, Nebraska. Water from the Loup River is diverted
into a thirty-seven (37) mile long canal system for the generation of
electricity at the District's two hydro electric plants. The first two (2)
miles of the canal system is designed for a settling basin where aggregates
such as sand, gravel and soil are deposited. This two (2) mile settling basin
requires dredging to remove the deposits to assure continued water diversion.
The dredged deposits are presently stored on a large disposal pile on site. The
existing dredge and disposal system is of the 1930's vintage.
The District is seeking a qualified consultant to provide professional
consulting engineering and related services in designing and implementing a
dredging and disposal system for this operation. This could include a new
dredge, discharge system and method of stockpiling the dredged material.
Interested firms or qualified individuals must demonstrate recent or relevant
experience in dredging or related fields.

ocean industry, IVS 3D has emerged as a world leader in 3D analysis and
processing in the ocean environment with our award winning Fledermaus
software. We are experiencing record growth, and looking to add new members
to our team.
Our Field Sales Engineers play a key role in helping existing and prospective
clients understand and use our visualization, analysis and processing software
suite. This is also a key position in our customer training program, where we
offer public and in-house courses geared toward advancing client's knowledge
and use of Fledermaus.
The ideal candidate will have a strong geosciences background and the following
skills and experience:
- University degree in earth sciences (geology, geophysics, ocean mapping, geomatics/surveying, etc.).
- Very good understanding of geo-spatial software, such as GIS, and application in the ocean environment.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze client requirements, identify technical problems and formulate solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
The following would also be an asset:
- Bilingual language capabilities in Spanish, French or other languages.
- Development and delivery of training courses.
Salary and overall compensation are commensurate with experience. This
position will be based in Portsmouth, NH, and may require travel up to 50% of
the year (domestic and international).
