General Information:
We are currently developing our final schedule and will send out additional information in the coming weeks. This year we changed things up a little and developed a program around a specific topic, Beneficial Use of Dredged Materials. We already have a great list of presentations but are still looking for a few more.

Call for Abstracts:
For the 2019 WEDA Eastern Chapter meeting, we wanted to have a topic-specific event. With this in mind, we felt a relevant topic for this year’s event is Beneficial Use of Dredged Materials. We want to encourage presentations that focus on the beneficial use of dredged materials. These can include beach restoration, marshland restoration, engineering with nature, coastal resiliency, and inland applications including flood protection/prevention. We are looking for presentations where the work was completed in the last 2 years and was performed along the eastern coast of the US. Presentations that focus on self-promotion, specific products or corporate marketing will be not be accepted. The presenter will be allowed to have a corporate logo on the slides. The presentation should be 20 minutes with time for questions.

Abstract Format

Location:
The Hotel DuPont is an architectural icon internationally renowned hotel, and the pride of Delaware, Hotel DuPont has many stories to tell. Nestled in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware and the picturesque Brandywine Valley, one of the country’s grandest hotels is as rich in history and tradition as it is in atmosphere. The twelve-story Italian Renaissance building debuted in 1913 after a two-and-a-half-year labor of love by French and Italian craftsmen who carved, gilded and painted this exceptional landmark to life. From the lavish splendor of the lobby to the shimmering majesty of the Gold Ballroom, every detail speaks to an eye for flawless style.
